JOY That is what I felt in this moment, watching $JOY That is what I felt in this moment, watching sunset at Cape Greco. I treated myself with a women's retreat in Cyprus. And during that week, I felt a myriad of emotions. Excitement. Fascination. Calmness. Anger. Sadness. Inner peace. Funky. Contentment. Gratefulness. Anxiousness. Fear. Happiness. Playfulness. Nostalgia. ... and the list goes on... Some of them were present only for a fraction of second. Not all of these emotions were induced by outer situations. Some of them came out of nowhere. Nonetheless, I paid attention to all of them equaly. 🪷 You cannot push yourself to feeling only good, because you are on holiday and that is "what it's supposed to feel like". 🪷 As always, I paused to be aware of them, accepted them and sat with them. I did not overanalyze them nor did I create stories around them. And eventually, they always wore off. I never suppress unpleasant emotions. Not even at holiday. Emotions are natural. All of them. When lovingly accepted, they tend to pass. Otherwise they might get stuck in your body and you might find feeling "off" and irritated without knowing why... And when the joy and excitement and exhiliration came, I infused them fully into my body. Soaked in them and let them expand. As these are the feelings that I want to remember. The feelings that I will draw from. That is how I will remember feeling at Cyprus. 🪷🪷🪷 I have more stories and inner lessons from Cyprus. But this is something I wated to raise awareness around. I think it's the most important lesson: Pay attention to your emotions and don't get stuck in your head when they come. Don't label them, just be present. 🌟$
